About the event

Three Strategies to Create Stable Relationships when You Live with Bipolar

Join author and researcher Julie A. Fast for an evening of stories and strategies regarding the impact of bipolar disorder on the relationships you care about, including partners, family, friendships and colleagues. Julie will share how she taught herself and the people in her life how to keep a relationship strong and long-lasting even when bipolar is active.

This is not a simple process. Julie will be brutally honest about the toll bipolar takes on her life and how learning to manage her relationships changed her brain for the better. After this presentation, Julie will take audience questions.

We hope you can join us for this lively and important presentation.

This is a hybrid meeting, allowing attendees to join us at the Edinburgh Training & Conference Venue, 16 St. Mary's Street, Edinburgh EH1 1SU or online via Zoom. The meeting is for everyone affected by bipolar, including family, friends, and carers.

The meeting provides a safe, confidential space to access peer support and learn new ways of managing bipolar, including sharing our personal experiences. We usually have either a speaker or a group discussion at the beginning of the meeting on a topic related to bipolar, followed by a chat over a hot drink and biscuits. The meeting finishes at 8.45 pm.

Please watch our Comfort Agreement, which is in place to ensure everyone has a safe, comfortable space to share personal experiences.

NB: Please do not attend the venue if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
