What is Bipolar Peer Support?

This is a free peer support service for people aged 18-65 living in Edinburgh with a bipolar diagnosis. A peer support practitioner working for our partners Penumbra will meet with you regularly on a one-to-one basis either in-person, or occasionally online or on the phone.

Your peer practitioner also has lived experience of bipolar, helping them to better understand your situation. They can help you with self-management and connecting with your communities.

They will meet you weekly for up to 12 sessions, helping you to build your knowledge, confidence and resilience for a better quality of life.

Peer support complements mental health services provided by the NHS and other agencies and is not a crisis service.
