The Lothian Bipolar Group, now part of Bipolar Edinburgh, has been providing peer support groups in Edinburgh since 2010.
The format is that we normally have a guest speaker talking about a topic that's bipolar-related, then we mix and chat for a while over tea and coffee.
Its a great way to learn more about your condition and to meet like-minded others.
Friends and carers are welcome also.
"Good company and lots of information."
"Feeling hopeful."
"Thought provoking session in a warm, smart environment."
"Calm and welcoming environment- a safe haven."
Speakers are usually confirmed a few days before the event so the best way to keep informed as to what is happening is to join our mailing list:
You may want to read our Comfort Agreement which is in place to make sure everyone has a safe and comfortable space to share personal experiences.
